Where to buy equipment?
There are various local and internet retailers to purchase lacrosse equipment for your son or daughter from. It has been our experience that for those new to the sport, it is very helpful to research online or consult with a PYLAX coach first before purchasing a new set of equipment. Here are some local and online stores to check out.
Local sporting goods stores, Dunham's andDick's Sporting Goods. They offer player starter packages for both boys (stick, helmet, gloves, arm pads, and shoulder pads) and girls (stick, eye goggles, gloves). Selection may be limited.
Top String Lacrosse (www.topstringlacrosse.com) has the largest selection of lacrosse equipment in Western PA. They are located at 4705 Library Rd, Bethel Park, PA 15102.
Like many other sports, lacrosse equipment can be very expensive. Complete starter packages range from $160 - $300. Premium equipment packages can range from $500 - $800.
Does PYLAX have any loaner equipment?
PYLAX receives a limited amount of second-hand equipment every season. We do our best to provide new players with loaner equipment for the first few Fall clinics but can not guarantee we will have enough for every new player. On occasion, we will make our second-hand equipment available for purchase.
